Both pumps are now operating serially, still offering the quiet operation as with one pump, but with more performance. The front of the reservoir, the component which mainly remains visible after installation, is just beautiful to look at: Plexi, Acetal and a fill level indicator in combination with the typical Alphacool copper create a truly elegant design. Lighting is the next step towards a perfect system: At the rear of the reservoir, four 5mm LEDs can be inserted.

The step towards perfection The new Alphacool AGB comes in three different models. You can either connect a Laing DDC, the Alphacool DC-LT or the Laing D5/Alphacool VPP655 at the backplate depending on the model which you use. The brushed plate provides an optical finishing touch which is underlined by the high quality processing. The front consists of a scretch-secure soft-touch surface painted in black-matt. The Eisfach is mounted in two of the front 5,25″ bays which provides a good overview of the container and the fill level is easily being checked through the lighted window at the back. Additionally, the Alphacool logo in the front can be lighted by connecting the 3-pin connector with a power source. A lot of details complement the first impression! Two 1/4″ holes at the top side are available for the first filling. To refill you can simply remove and extract the fillport in the front and two 1/4″ holes at the bottom side facilitate the draining of the liquid. There are two lighting modules at the right hand side at the back of the container behind the window for 5mm LEDs. This provides a unique opportunity for personalised lighting and optic. Further two holes at the left hand side provide additional opportunities to fill or drain the liquid. The last two 1/4″ threads are used to fill or drain the container. A Bubble Down module has been placed behind the inlet to prevent turbulences that could lead air into the watercircle. Building on the original Monsoon’s success, the new Monsoon Series Two D5 Premium features a host of design refinements and improved modularity all aimed at making them easier to use, quieter, and a better overall value. The new vibration dampening mounting system is the industry’s first and only 100% decoupled mounting solution and substantially reduces the amount of sound generating vibration transmitted from your reservoir to your chassis. The 40% glass filled molded nylon main body now features sound dampening cavities that work on the same principles as the baffles in a car muffler or the sound dampening material on the walls of a recording studio—each time you redirect a sound wave it loses energy. The new LED lighting board has been moved to the bottom of the reservoir to prevent accidentally getting it wet if the user overflows the top fill port catch basins and the board now features RGB color changing LED’s that allow the user to scroll through the color presets and select the perfect light color for their build. It also now has a chip that retains your brightness setting and light color selection on power down. The face plate is still machined 6mm aluminum, but the mounting screws are now hidden on the back for a cleaner more streamlined look—no cheesy 1mm thick faux aluminum face plates stuck on with double back tape here. The reservoir back is precision machined PVC and because the reservoir is fully modular, the pump backs, face plates, motor mounting hardware, and color matched screws and stop plugs can be mixed and matched to suit your current and future builds. All screws are color coordinated stainless steel and the included stop plugs are color coordinated machined brass. Sleeving is premium triple strand triple weave and the Molex plug is black. Easily combine Koolance’s compact high pressure pumps into dual or serial/redundant loops! RP-401X2 is a single 5.25″ bay reservoir designed for one or two Koolance PMP-400 pumps (not included). Using a convenient bottom plug, the front reservoirs can be separated or combined without disassembling the unit. Top fill ports are available for each reservoir.

Machined from a solid piece of acetal for maximum reliability, the RP-401X2 has a thick acrylic window, front aluminum bezel, and stainless steel bottom covers. Two sets of G 1/4 BSPP (parallel) thread inlet and outlets appear on the back, designated “P1” and “P2” for each pump. If one pump is used, an acetal blocker is included to occupy the second pump location.

There are two pre-drilled holes for optional 3mm LEDs above the acrylic window. CD bay mounting screws and pump attachment hardware are included. Capacity per reservoir = approx. 2.7 fl oz (80ml). The D5 Tank reservoir is a compact reservoir for the powerful and reliable D5 pump. The reservoir supports both the Vario and PWM models of the D5.
